A patio is where a house gets used, so we start with how you want to use it: the table, the grill, the door swing, the step down from the back door. From there we set the shape and the pitch, because a patio that holds water is a patio nobody sits on.
Broom finish is the standard for grip in the rain, but a patio is also the most common place we pour a stamped or decorative surface. Either way it gets a proper base, reinforcement and joints laid out to follow the shape of the slab.
