A driveway carries more load than any other slab on a residential property, and it is the one most exposed to freeze and thaw. We pour it accordingly: old concrete out, sub-base graded and compacted, thickness and reinforcement matched to what will park on it.
The finish is a broom texture across the traffic area, with control joints cut on a grid so the slab cracks where it is meant to and nowhere else. Aprons, curb cuts and the transition to the garage floor are formed as part of the same job, not patched on afterwards.
Driveways
- Tear-out and haul-away of the old driveway
- Compacted stone base and slope set for drainage away from the house
- Broom finish and saw-cut control joints on a measured grid
